Celebrity and Topical Guest Bookings Best of Year
Envision Networks® Guest Services, a turn-key solution to guest booking with its unique lineup of pop culture guests and celebrities each day for morning shows, wrapped up another stellar year this week. Stations interested in adding celebrity interviews to their morning show can receive a free two-interview trial beginning January 2.
There were many highlights this year, including some memorable quotes from some of the biggest names in Hollywood:
Thirteen-time Emmy nominated actor William H. Macy spoke with affiliates of Guest Services. In an interview with Hunter and Michaels on WNDD-FM/Orlando, Macy was asked about his favorite character and ended up hinting at the return of one of his beloved movie roles. “No, it’s like naming your [favorite] children. But I gotta’ say Frank Gallagher in Shameless. That’s so much fun. I love Dudley in Wild Hogs. Which we might do another one…in January (2018). That’s the plan. We shall see.”
TV Hall of Fame comedian Jay Leno shared a story with Nolan, Malone and Kullik on WMJI-FM/Cleveland about an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage where Colin Powell was racing Joe Biden in Corvettes. “The Secret Service just went crazy.” Leno said. “[Biden] almost slides into Colin Powell and the Secret Service [is saying], ‘Slow Biden down. Get in front of him. Slow him down, slow him down.’ I mean, it was really funny.”
Late night TV icon and Envision Networks’ Day in Rock host, Paul Shaffer spoke with Kallaway on the Rise’s Dave and Susan on WIFC-FM/Wausau. In talking about the origin of the jam sessions at the end of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, Shaffer said, “We were saying before the first one, well we can’t ask them to play; they’re here to be honored. We don’t want them to work. Well, it turned out of course, they were only too thrilled to play and it became tradition.”
This year, affiliates of Guest Services have interviewed Ed Helms, Tommy Shaw, Bill Pullman, Arianne Zucker, Evan Peters, Dog and Beth Chapman, Sebastian Bach, Paul Reiser, Bob Saget, Judah Friedlander, Dianne Lake, Craig Robinson, Richard Lewis, Ken Burns, Gloria Allred, Rick Wakeman, George Clinton, Omar Epps, Rachel Dratch, Marlon Wayans, Luke Perry, Dennis Haysbert, Beverly D’Angelo, Milo Yiannopoulos, Nick Cannon, Bobby Moynihan, Kal Penn, Aisha Tyler, Rachel Dolezal, Wolfgang Puck and many more.
