Hollywood couple interview via Envision Networks® guest booking service
(April 2018) — Actress Felicity Huffman of Desperate Housewives fame and actor/director husband William H. Macy, most notably of Shameless, recently interviewed with affiliates of Envision Networks®’ Guest Services.
Macy and Huffman chatted with stations about their new film Krystal, staring both of them and directed by Macy. Macy admits to Mark, Jimmy & Chip at WMJI-FM (Cleveland) that he didn’t intend to act in the film at all, but that he couldn’t find anyone who was available for the part. “It’s always difficult [finding people to work on indie films] and it’s particularly difficult now. There’s such an explosion of television—everyone is working. I mean try to rent a camera in L.A… Everyone is working. And it was tough to find people who wanted to do it, who were right for it, and who were available. In all candor, I didn’t want to be in the film, I just wanted to direct it, but we could not cast the role. And so finally I said okay, I’ll do the role.”
Huffman and Macy also talked about what it’s like to work with your spouse on a film. Huffman, who was directed by husband Macy in Krystal, said to Bull, Rob & Kris at WGRF-FM (Buffalo) that “I think the best thing to do when you’re being directed by your spouse is to be coachable, and to be quiet.”
Krystal is in theaters now.
