Envision Country Network Airing 2-Hour Thanksgiving Special
This Thanksgiving weekend, The Live Ride will spend two hours giving the gift of songs filled with thankfulness. The weekly country radio show, hosted by Vanessa Ryan, will be playing the current top songs in country and highlight artists sharing their thankfulness. The special can be heard on affiliate stations throughout the country Thanksgiving weekend.
“As 2016 comes to a close, it is human nature for us all to reflect back on the ups and downs we’ve all gone through throughout the year,” said The Live Ride host Vanessa Ryan. “The core of country music, and its fans, is hope, faith, love and being thankful no matter where we’ve traveled. The Live Ride’s ‘Thanks and Giving Special’ will highlight the talent of the genre with songs of thanks, and hopefully leave listeners with overwhelming feelings of gratefulness and hope for what’s yet to come.”
The Thanksgiving special will feature live versions of Dolly Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors,” Travis Tritt’s “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive,” Martina McBride’s “Blessed,” Willie Nelson’s “What a Wonderful World,” Darius Rucker’s “This,” Keith Urban’s “But For The Grace of God” and Johnny Cash’s “Thanksgiving Prayer.”
The Live Ride is a two hour radio show that brings a weekly “concert” to country radio, featuring live performances of current and recent chart hits by today’s biggest acts. About Vanessa Ryan:
Vanessa has been passionate about country music ever since she was a teenager growing up in Wisconsin when she discovered Lorrie Morgan’s music. She quickly became obsessed with attending as many concerts as possible with friends. She wanted the full experience of the genre. While in college she heard an ad on her favorite local country station looking for part-time help. On a whim she applied and got the job. She continued to work for the station until she graduated and moved to Minneapolis to pursue work in her degrees. Awhile later she moved back home for a short period of time and was approached by the owner of her former station to help fill in for a few weeks. A few weeks turned into a few years, and she never left the world of radio again. Vanessa’s second home has become Nashville as she visits frequently, exploring and discovering new artists and music. She’s not only passionate about artists and the music they perform, but the lifestyle as well. She lives and breathes country music, and is excited to share her love of it with you every week. She currently does mornings at WDEZ-FM/Wausau, Wisconsin. She has previously worked at WYTE-FM and WIFC-FM, also in Wausau, Wisconsin.
